Our research integrates stem cell biology, cellular metabolism, and epigenetic regulation to understand how tissues develop, maintain physiological function, and become dysfunctional in disease. We address major biomedical challenges, including impaired tissue regeneration, muscle degeneration, obesity, diabetes, and aging, with the long-term goal of identifying new therapeutic targets to improve animal and human health.
